Kangeq, a historical place where missionary Hans Egede founded Godthåb, today known as Nuuk.
Once home of the famous artist and hunter, Aron Kangermiu, whose paintings told traditional myths and legends.
Kangeq was abandoned in the 1970s, and a few houses are kept neat for the families who use the houses as summer residens. A Greenlandic flag raised outside the house signals that someone is home.
Only 45 minutes from Nuuk, and good chances to see seals and whales.
